Over the years I have deduced that people generally don't like it when I wander off while we are talking, even if I can still hear them wherever I end up.

But I still thought it was okay to exit a convo when more than one person is present. Like, if I am talking to person A and person B walks up and they start talking, I thought it was fine to walk away whenever I wanted.

But apparently not because then person A will come and find me and ask why I left.

So how the hell do you tell when a conversation is over? Maybe I shoud just wait until everyone else leaves?

I'm thinking I'll just say "Oh!" and walk away like I just remembered something. Just to be on the safe side. Why is everything so complicated? LOL.
